                   Separation of substances

1.  Methods of separating substances: Methods of separating substances are handpicking, winnowing, sieving, sedimentation, decantation and filtration.

2. Husk and stones: Husk and stones could be separated from grains by handpicking.

3. Solid dissolved: Evaporation can be used to separate a solid dissolved in a liquid.

4. Dissolved: A saturated solution in one which no more of that substance can be dissolved.

5. Dissolved: A saturated solution in one which more of that substance can be dissolved.

6. Separation: separation methods is used to remove or picked out unwanted substances from mixtures.

7. Dissolving a substance: A solution is separated by dissolving a substance in a liquid.

8. Fodder for cattle: The separated husk is used for many purposes such as fodder for cattle.

9. Husk particles: Winnowing is commonly used by separate lighter husk particles from heavier seeds of grains.

10. Mixtures: Things are made of two and more of two substances are called mixture. Like air, particular dust, sherbet etc.

11. Separation: By various methods a mixture is separated into its separates components are known as separation.

12. Sedimentation: The settling down of heavy solid particles from the liquid in mixtures of solid and liquid substances.

13. Filtration: It is a method of separating specific particles from a liquid mixture by passing through a porous membrane.

14. Decantation: The process of separating a solid from a liquid by out the liquid.

15. Sublimation: direct conversation of a solid into gas or gas into a solid. 

16. Evaporation: conversion of water into water vapour.

17. Mixture of ammonium chlorides: The method sublimation be used for separating salt from ammonium chlorides.  

18. Separating from wheat grains: Winnowing is separating from wheat grains.

19. Mixture of sand and marble chips: Sieving is mixture of sand and marble chips.

20. Separated from muddy water: Sedimentation and loading are separated from muddy water.

21.  Separated the iron: Magnetic separation is separated the iron.

22. Separated the sieves/ sieving method: substances of two solid of different size can be separated the sieves/ sieving method like flour.

23. Saturated solution: The solution in which no more substances can be dissolved in the amounts of water we have taken.
